KSN-Mayor's Office - Unruly Protestors - They were asked to leave.  Security had to be called.

WICHITA, Kansas – About 15 people gathered in Mayor Jeff Longwell’s office to talk about the Confederate flag in Wichita Monday.

One local leader of Sunflower Community Action Group was scheduled to meet with Mayor Jeff Longwell about the flag, but several others showed up at city hall and started chanting.

Police officers who work in the city building were called to the mayor’s office.

Demonstrations are not allowed inside city hall, but no one was arrested.

Last week, the flag was removed on a temporary basis until meetings and public discussions can be held to decide the flag’s fate.

The mayor says he will also talk with the veterans group about displaying the Confederate flag at the memorial in downtown. The meeting with the group is at a private home in Wichita tonight.

About a dozen people were chanting inside the mayor's office in Wichita.  Tthey have been asked several times to stop.

The purpose of this website is to focus on the CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG and nothing else.
A reason to restore the CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG to it's rightful place in
VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK
The topic of slavery, prejudice, bigotry or why the War Between The States happened, etc.
can be discussed at a later date.

Please contact Wichita City Mayor Jeff Longwell and request that he do the right thing and raise the
Confederate Battle Flag
to it's rightful place in VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK.
